Established in 1982, Brantham Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS) is an award-winning British village group made up of approximately 100 members of all ages. We perform all of our productions, as well as hosting an annual play festival, at Brantham Village Hall in the county of Suffolk. We also operate two workshops, Junior and Teen BATS, for the younger members in our group.

BATS is affiliated to and the North Essex Theatre Guild.

North Essex Theatre Guild Award Nominations

The nominations are in for this year's awards, and Nelson Blond has got four:

Technical Achievement - Sound/Lighting/Special Effects

Timmens Award for Music - Gina Dunne for her singing

Best Young Actor - Jamie Adjei for Ratatouille

Best Supporting Actress - Mags Humphrey for Miss Hunnybunny/Tiddles Freeleigh

Well done to all those nominated! The awards dinner will be on 12th September at the Princess Theatre, Clacton, and the fancy dress theme will be "Beside the Seaside". Tickets are £9 per head, the same as last year. It's good fun if we can get a sizeable party to go, so please contact Keith to reserve your spot.
